Dermaharmony 2% Pyrithione Zinc (ZnP) Liquid Cleanser (4 Fl Oz Bottle)

The 2% Pyrithione Liquid non-soap cleanser is a distinct alternative to DermaHarmony's 2% Pyrithione Zinc Bar Soap. It can be used as a soap, shampoo, or shaving soap, and is most often used as a non-drying face cleanser. The cleanser has a superb pH level of 6.2, which is close to the skin's natural pH of 5.5. The product features a tea tree (Melaleuca) scent, which comes from the essential oil derived from steaming the leaves of the Australian tea tree.

The active ingredient in the cleanser is 2% Pyrithione Zinc, while the inactive ingredients include Water, Lauryl Glucoside (a biodegradable and mild cleansing agent), Cocamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine (a conditioning agent and foam booster), Sodium Lauroamphoacetate (a plant-derived cleanser), Distearyl Phthalic Acid Amide (a vegetable-derived emulsifier and suspending agent), Sodium Chloride (table salt), Lauramine Oxide (a foam builder, stabilizer, and viscosity enhancer), Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Soyethyl Morpholinium Ethosulfate (a cationic surfactant designed to neutralize odors), Phenoxyethanol (a preservative), and Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe) Leaf Juice.

The cleanser is free of sulphates, MPG, dyes, lanolin, PEG, parabens, formaldehyde, and formaldehyde releasers. All inactive ingredients are Whole Foods premium body care compliant, making the product oil-free and non-comedogenic. The cleanser is made in the USA, with DermaHarmony being based in Northern New England (Maine).

The thinner solution pours from the bottle nicely through a larger diameter disc cap lid, and the cleanser works effectively in both soft and hard water, as well as in high and low pH ranges. The cleansing properties of the 2% Pyrithione Liquid non-soap cleanser are superior to those of DermaHarmony's 2% pyrithione zinc castile soap.
